Not only is there world class fishing, great surfing, and the abundance of nature to look - there are plenty of activities to partake in for excitement and learning.
Panama is known as an ornithologist's dream. There are over 900 different species of birds in Panama. Here on the Azuero Peninsula you can see the Lineated Woodpecker (found on most of our properties), the Azuero Painted Parakeet, Great Green Macaw and the Brownbacked Dove. Local birding tours are conducted by a 15 year veteran of birding.
Turtle tours can be provided out of the town of Malena. These can be done at the beach or at the nursery. Turtle watching during hatching season, July to December, is particularly fun and a great learning experience.
Surfing can be done at several local beaches. When a good swell comes in, make it out early and you will be quite happy with your time. Locals will abound with knowledge of where the best places are located.
Waterfall tours in Malena and other parts of the Azuero can be recommended and arranged. These will all involve a small hike to a pristine pool with a cascading waterfall to view for your enjoyment. Swimming in the water is refreshing and jumping off the waterfall can be equally as exhilarating for those that are looking for something different.
Fishing Charters can be arranged with a local guide from Torio, or we can help recommend a local fisherman (on his time) if you would like to do line fishing from a panga. Corvina, Shrimp and Lobster are in an abundance off the coast here.
Cerro Hoya National Park tours can be fun-filled and a learning experience as well. You will see great birds, howler monkeys, natural wonders like waterfalls, teak forests and dense jungle all provide a backdrop to this mystical and mysterious wonder on the south part of the Peninsula.
There are also playgrounds for children in several places. In Torio there is a large playground, in Mata Oscura also has a playground. Here at Panama Coast Property, we are developing a Saturday play time with local children. We are looking at possible locations in Malena and Torio.
We are looking into developing some other activities geared towards local hikes, photography tours, and kayak tours. Please check back in the future for any updates!
Please feel free to contact us for suggestions or when you come and view property, we can help arrange activities to get you started on your new life here in the western Azuero!!!

Please note their phone is outdated and a better way to contact them is through email or the blog. The new hotel has just opened up and is accepting clients. We met several the other evening at the 'grand opening party' and there are already rave reviews!
Thanks so much
